Giuliano Adorno

 Giuliano Adorno is an Italian pianist. He was born in Naples but moved to Tuscany at an early age. Graduated in June 1999 at the “G. Puccini” Conservatory in La Spezia with M° Antonio Di Cristofano, he attended the advanced courses at the Ecole Normale “A. Cortot” in Paris under the guidance of M° Nelson Delle Vigne and later in Madrid with M° Leonel Morales. He joined several National and International piano competitions, having been consistently winner and awarded: “Campi Bisenzio”, “Rospigliosi”, “Città di Cesenatico”, “Premio Alberto Gori”; "Accademia delle Muse" di Camaiore ; "Città di Pietra Ligure"; "Pinerolo città della cavalleria"; "F.I.D.A.P.A” , Pisa; “Terme di Saturnia”, Saturnia; “Uliveto Terme”, Pisa; "Franz Schubert" , Tagliolo Monferrato; “Città di Cesenatico”, "Città di S.Giuliano Terme"(PI), Mallorca International Music Competition , Mendelssohn Piano Competition (Le), “Anton Garcia Abril” a Teruel, Spagna. He performed for many institutions in Italy and Europe, such as Salle Munch e la Salle Cortot di Parigi, Concert Noble Bruxelles, Chateau du Cheneau, Belgio, Villa de Xabìa (Alicante), Valencia, Auditorium Manuel de Falla and Castle of Alhambra, Granada, and again for Associazione Amici della musica in Pistoia, Associazione Arnold Schoenberg in Siena, Festival Riviera Etrusca Festival, Sarzana Piano Festival, Grosseto Piano Festival, Terme di Saturnia, Teatro di Cesenatico, Teatro di Pietrasanta, Mendelssohn Festival (LE), Cremona Pianoforte, Church of the Ss. Apostoli Roma, etc. He also attended seminars and Master Classes held by teachers such as Fausto Zadra, Paolo Bordoni, Philippe Entremont, Jan Hobson, Carla Giudici, Einar Steen- Nokleberg etc.

  He has a wide repertoire including solo works, chamber music and piano concertos, and he is lately focused on russian music, especially on works by Rachmaninov, Prokofiev and Skrjiabin. He cooperated in chambre music projects with artists such as Albrecht Mayer (Oboist - Berliner Philarmoniker), Elisabeth Norberg-Schultz (Soprano), Hans-Eberhard Dentler (Cello). He is steadily cooperationg with Grosseto Symphony Orchestra, with which he recently performed Rachmaninov Piano concerto op. 18 and Beethoven op. 15 Piano concerto. He is a piano teacher at “Istituto Musicale Giannetti” in Grosseto – Fondazione Grosseto Cultura, at the “Liceo Musicale” Bianciardi in Grosseto, and in several summer piano Masterclasses in Italy and in Spain, including the “International Masterclass and Piano Festival Leonel Morales” in Granada (assistant professor). Since 2012 he is artistic director of Orbetello Piano Festival, International piano festival who has the aim to make a conjunction beetween music and the beauty of the Tuscan landscape.
